My name is Scott Hall, and before entrusting me with your Business or Property insurance you will want to know who I am and what I am about.

Approximately 15 years ago I started my insurance career in my father's insurance brokerage (A. Hall Insurance Services of Chard, Axminster and Lyme Regis). It was there that I learned the basics, and the importance of client service. When my father retired I moved on to gain further experience with independent insurance brokers in Honiton, Crewkerne,Bridport, Southampton and (more recently) Dorchester, and over those years developed an expertise for business insurance; from Landlords, Shops, Offices & Tradesmen's Liability to Professional Indemnity, Motor Trade, Engineering & Manufacturing risks.

Professionally, I am:

• a qualified member of The Chartered Insurance Institute;
• a member of the British Insurance Brokers Association;,
• a member broker of the Purple Partnership;
• a member of the Federation of Small Businesses; and
• authorised as a General (Non-Investment) Insurance Broker by the Financial Services Authority.

The main geographical areas I cover are South Somerset, West Dorset and Devon, which includes Crewkerne, Chard, Ilminster, Yeovil, Sherborne, and Taunton, Beaminster, Bridport, Lyme Regis and Dorchester,Seaton, Honiton and Axminster, but I'm able to field enquiries from all over the UK, having access to over 40 different insurers,wholesale brokers and underwriting agents, and a wide range of markets within Lloyds of London.

I understand what it is like to run a business, and I understand the financial pressures which are brought to bear, but there is no validity in leaving assets or insurable liabilities unprotected. Good service is important to you, as it is to me, but this has to be coupled with sensible advice and the correct insurance coverage at a realistic price, for the complete package to demonstrate real value for money. That's what I try to do for my clients - my philosophy if you like.
